Shane 's background was mainly in education, where he was a primary teacher and headteacher for twenty years. During this time, he developed a passion for coaching, supporting children and young people to achieve in different ways. He volunteered at the first Kingswood United Soccer School in 2019 and hasn't stopped from there.
Developing the charity of Kingswood Sports in 2023, Shane left his career in education. Developing a new skill set, he now looks at ways in which the charity can grow as well as how it can support the community further. He continues to deliver outreach work and sports sessions in schools as well as delivering our First Aid and Mental Health First Aid training.
Shane is also the charity's Safeguarding Lead, with training completed in Level 1, 2 and 3 for Safeguarding Children and Young People. He has also previously been a DSL within his role within schools.
