Green Finger Gardening: Cultivating Community & Growth!

Step into our vibrant new garden space at Kingswood Sports, where community connection blossoms alongside fresh produce! We are incredibly fortunate and deeply grateful to CHEP Hull for their invaluable support in establishing our very own dedicated garden planter. This fantastic initiative is more than just about growing vegetables; it's about nurturing skills, fostering friendships, and connecting with nature in our community.

Rooted in Expertise & Community Vision:

We're thrilled to work closely with Joe, the Bransholme Pastoral Gardener, whose expertise and passion are helping us bring this green vision to life. Joe has been instrumental in developing this wonderful space, guiding us as we choose and plant a delightful range of different fruits and vegetables. Earlier this year, we began our exciting journey, collaborating with our local community to gather ideas and start the planting process, truly making this a garden by and for everyone.

Join Our Weekly Sessions: Learn, Grow, & Harvest!

Now, the real fun begins! We host engaging, hands-on weekly gardening sessions every Monday between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. These sessions are an excellent opportunity for you to:

  • Learn Together: Discover the joys of horticulture as we collectively learn how to grow a variety of delicious fruits and vegetables successfully. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to get your hands a little dirty!

  • Support & Collaborate: Help nurture our growing crops by sharing tips and smiles with fellow community members.

  • Take Home the Harvest: Enjoy your labour's literal fruits (and vegetables!).. Once it's grown, take home some of the fresh produce. It’s gratifying to eat what you’ve helped cultivate!

  • Connect with Nature & Each Other: Experience the therapeutic benefits of gardening, enjoy some fresh air, and build new friendships within a supportive, inclusive environment.

Ready to Grow With Us?

Our gardening sessions are designed to be accessible and welcoming to all. While you can often turn up on the day, we highly recommend booking your place in advance to ensure we have enough space and, importantly, enough cuppas ready for everyone!

Come along, get involved, and help us cultivate something special together!
